Our local public middle schools need books!

Many kids in Camarillo have no access to physical books at school for supplemental reading of their choice. We know that access to a wide variety of books allows kids to explore, read what they love, and develop a habit and love of reading. This fosters lifelong learning and leads to better social, emotional, and academic outcomes.

We must change this.

Our goal is to collect 5000 new, like new, and gently used physical books for our middle school ELA classrooms. This amounts to 2-3 books per PVSD student in grades 6-8. We need fiction, narrative non-fiction, graphic novels, and books in Spanish.
